From the beach only metres from the door with tackle hire two minutes walk from the house.

Bring your bike and go exploring or hire one for the day.

- Birds
Ideal birdwatching base with year round activity.

- Watersports
Hire canoes and sailboards at Aberdyfi or bring your own. Temporary membership of Dovey Yacht Club is available for those who have their own windsurfing and sailing equipment.

- Walking
Walk along the sands to Aberdyfi and visit the Lifeboat Station or go crabbing from the pier. Explore the Dysynni Valley where miles of footpaths take you to spectacular viewpoints. Climb Cader Idris and with luck you will see the Lakeland fells, and the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland. Maps and guides are available in the house.

Sights and special interests
Take the Tallyllyn narrow gauge steam railway into the Snowdonia National Park. Visit Dolgoch waterfalls and the old slate mining village of Abergynolwyn.  Also Fairbourne with its light railway and magnificent sandy beach.

Wales Tourist Board 4 Star Explore the area by train, south to Machynlleth, the home of the Centre for Alternative Technology, and north to the coastal towns of Barmouth, Harlech, with its famous castle, and Pwllheli. The Italianate village of Portmeirion is within easy driving distance.

The Tywyn Wurlitzer Organ - from the Granada, Woolwich. Acclaimed as a world class instrument attracting enthusiasts from miles around. Concerts held regularly.
